The automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation driven by regulations and fast-paced electrification. A critical analysis of technological trends associated requirements for powertrain components carried out in close collaboration with – covering the perspectives OEMs, suppliers, machine builders. main focus to review state art regard grinding, dressing, texturing fine-finishing technologies. survey research papers patents accompanied case studies that provide further insights into production value chain. Finally, key industrial challenges are summarized.
